Before your interview

Most interview problems are technical, not about the candidate. A few minutes of preparation avoids them.

  • Use a laptop or desktop if you can. You will need to share your entire screen, which is harder on a phone.
  • Find a quiet, well-lit room so your face is clearly visible and your audio is clean.
  • Keep your phone with you. Your one-time sign-in code arrives on WhatsApp.
  • Close other tabs and apps before a proctored paper. Tab switches are recorded as security events.
  • Check your internet connection a few minutes before the interview, not during it.
  • For teaching roles, have a topic ready to explain. Interviews include a teaching demo.
