Hi! I'm Twinkle. Need help?

IGCSE tuition for Maths, Physics and Chemistry

Maths, Physics and Chemistry are the most requested IGCSE combination. Strong results come from syllabus sequencing, practical understanding and timed paper practice, not last-minute cramming.

The three subjects are closely linked. Weak algebra shows up as lost marks in Physics calculations; shaky ratio and proportion hurts Chemistry moles questions. That is why the order you tackle them in matters.

1. Planning support across three subjects

  • Confirm Core vs Extended for Maths (and Add Maths if relevant)
  • Align Physics/Chemistry tutoring with school practical schedules
  • Prefer subject specialists over one tutor for all three if gaps are large
  • Build a weekly plan that protects sleep and school homework time

2. Where to put the hours first

A combined “science package” is fine when levels match. If Maths is far behind, prioritise Maths hours first so Physics/Chemistry calculations improve.

Once the maths is secure, shift time towards whichever science is weaker. Revisit the balance every month or two, based on test results.

3. Where students typically lose marks

  • Maths: skipping working, so method marks are lost even when the idea is right
  • Physics: forgetting units, or rearranging formulas incorrectly
  • Chemistry: mole calculations and balancing equations under time pressure
  • All three: not reading command words like “explain”, “describe” and “calculate” carefully
  • Practical and alternative-to-practical questions that were never rehearsed

4. Inkstall’s MPC pathways

Inkstall offers IGCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry online and at Mumbai centres, with assessments and parent reporting.

Students can take all three with us or only the subjects they need, one-to-one or in small batches of 2 to 6.

5. Use results to adjust the plan

Track topic tests and past-paper scores monthly. Adjust hours by subject based on data, not guesswork.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your child is broadly on track, one strong science and maths tutor can work. If there are big gaps in any subject, subject specialists usually get results faster.
